The scientific revolution of Johannes Kepler, Nicholas Copernicus, and Galileo Galilei was considered the overturning of Aristotelian final cause, which had been at the basis of scholastic, Thomistic sacred science. The subsequent inquiries of Rene Descartes further emphasize mechanical matter as a separate substance from the organic mind. And pressing even further, Isaac Newton laid the foundation of classical mechanics with his three laws of motion. Under Newton’s influence, mechanism is the comprehensive, predictive explanation of all existing phenomena. The divine and the organic, is completely removed from natural science, and today consciousness itself is widely considered “epiphenomenal.”
By mechanism, we mean the understanding that reality is ultimately a machine, and can be comprehensively explained in terms of the mathematical conventions, written in formulas on paper.
But it is hardly imaginable that the total predominance of mechanistic explanations of reality was the intention of any of the founders of science mentioned above, who were all devout believers in the Creator. The current trend of scientistic material atheism is a historical aberration and a denial of the Enlightenment.
We stand at the precipice of a dire turning point in human history. The mechanistic explanation of reality holds sway over all authoritative epistemic fields. Why should those who hold to the mechanistic conception reality have any moral qualms about brain-chip implants, nano machines in the human body, genetically engineered super-babies? The mechanistic explanation of reality is utterly morally and spiritually bankrupt. It is leading us to dystopian, cyborg, mutant human beings. The purely mechanistic explanation of reality is pure nihilism. I hold it responsible for our current situation of pervasive cultural fragmentation, polarization, and confusion.
The alternative to mechanistic explanation is that mechanism is blended with the aggregate, organic whole, which is a higher intelligence. This is the complementarity of mechanism and organism in mutually opposed reciprocity. The left and right brain, the body and mind, matter and form, individual and collective.
The Core Model is the re-discovery of final cause in social science. Final cause is the distributed coordination dynamics of conscience. It allows for the collective evaluation and convergence on objective, contextual judgements of good and evil in terms of game theoretic, information theoretic, spontaneous order frameworks. All expressions contain implicit value judgements, which are ultimately rooted in the objective foundation of coordination. Conscience is a natural law that tends towards the state of pure harmonic symmetry of reciprocal opposites. It is the reconceptualization of science, as sacred science, mathesis universalis. Final cause is necessary for the survival of human life.
Natural laws of spatial motion:
1.) Space is efficient.
2.) Space is compression.
3.) Space is a coordination game.
4.) Spatial motion is caused by conscience.
Space is efficient
Eugene Fama’s efficient markets hypothesis says that prices “reflect all available information.” The impact of efficient markets hypothesis has been that the market is viewed as a unified theory of social existence. The market takes account of all aspects of social life. Fama and Hayek taken together make up the neo-liberal market paradigm.
The EMH is not wrong, it is a particular case of a more general phenomenon.
Why are markets efficient?
Friedrich Hayek explains that by “spontaneous order,” localized actors assess and evaluate their own localized, contextual conditions, and those local evaluations are buy or sell orders that then get reflected or aggregated in the overall price system.
Actors adjust their buying or selling to local conditions of distribution of goods, which affects the price signal in the non-local market. The market therefore organizes the best possible distribution of goods because its aligns motivations of many different local actors in different places.
By reading the price signals, one gets an effective understanding of aggregation across many localized conditions. The market is like a social brain.
The market reflects all available information.
Hayek’s basic argument is that local actors are best suited to analyze and evaluate their own situational, contextual conditions, and then use the market to aggregate and synthesize those localized conditions in a distributed, decentralized, bottom-up manner.
He opposes this to a centrally planned, top-down economy, where a bureaucrat or politician decides market conditions for everyone, without the benefit of effectively aggregating all the localized conditions into a single collective knowledge. This was the case in the Soviet Union.
So for Hayek, the market is efficient because of the localized evaluation of conditions.
Efficient markets = spontaneous order = market equilibrium
Efficient markets is not exactly wrong, it is simply a particular case of a more general social phenomenon. Hayek hinted at this more general idea with his emphasis on localized conditions, which are localized spatial conditions.
Markets are efficient because space itself is efficient. The efficiency of space is what causes the efficiency of markets.
What is the efficiency of space? Space is efficient if it “reflects all available information.”
This means that the direct, local experience of space itself is an effective aggregator of all available information. Local space itself reflects all non-local conditions.
How can the local experience of space reflect non-local conditions?
Space is compression
Local experience reflects non-local conditions through a two-tiered interdependence between the individual localized space, and the collective non-local distribution of many spaces.
Each individual’s experience is their own unique metamodel of reality. This metamodel is essentially a compression of all their memories and expectations about the vast spatial environment. It is a predictive metamodel of how that environment will unfold.
The theory of compression comes from algorithmic information theory.
For Gregory Chaitin, natural laws are algorithmic compressions of the vast variety of environmental observations. The natural law is the most concise possible description of all possible observations, that can still predictively reproduce those observations.
In other words, a good scientific law, according to Gregory Chaitin, is one which is very concise and very predictive.
There is a vast variety of spatial-environmental input signal. The internal thought reduces all of this variety of environmental signal to its most concise pattern-structure. This concise pattern-structure seeks to predictively evaluate all future states of the spatial environment.
The individual’s experience, localized in space, is a compression of the entire system of the spatial environment.
The fundamental, a priori belief structures determine how the person makes predictive selections in space.
In other words, space reflects all available information because it is a concise, simplified compression of the overall situation.
Internal thought is predictive evaluation, which is measured against the results in external space. Internal thought is an evaluation of space, like a local buy or sell order, which is aggregated in the results or outcomes that are realized in external space, which is like a market system of price signals.
Those results or outcomes are weighed against one another in a system of qualitative valuation, and only the best possible scenario unfolds (Leibniz’s best of all possible worlds).
Internal thought is the compression of the overall state of the aggregate system.
Internal thought is evaluation of a range of potential choices in space, which reflect the overall state of all possible choices anywhere.
All choices in space aggregate over all possible choices anywhere and affects the distribution of all choices anywhere.
In other words, internal thought is an attempt to accurately compress and predict the overall state of all possible choices. Each successive choice is a further compression-mapping or the overall state of the system of interrelated choices.
Each choice in the system affects each other. Each valuation immediately propagates through the system.
All choices are ultimately motivated by the desire to completely map the whole system perfectly accurately, because this is the state in which all needs and wants are satisfied in an ever increasing manner without end.
Space is coordinated
The market makes differentiated, specialized languages and motivations compatible through exchange of a universal monetary currency.
But how can space itself coordinate specialized actions and motivations more effectively than monetary currency can?
Space facilitates macro-scale coordination because space is intrinsically a unified coordination game.
A coordination game, as defined by Thomas Schelling, is a game in which the goals of all players are convergent, but the strategies of different players are variegated. This is different from a win-lose, zero-sum game.
“… the pure-coordination game is a game of strategy in the strict technical sense. It is a behavior situation in which each player’s best choice of action depends on the action he expects the other to take, which he knows depends, in turn on the other’s expectations of his own. This interdependence of expectations is precisely what distinguishes a game of strategy from a game of chance or a game of skill.”
Each player is trying to converge to the same outcome, but their strategies are completely different.
Local space is essentially a spectrum-gradient of many potential value opportunities, many possible choices one could make in any moment.
The selection of a certain value opportunity over others is a “path selection.”
Path selection is implicitly an evaluation of the state of the overall system of interdependent selections.
Path selection is evaluation of local conditions (similar to buying or selling), understood in terms of non-local conditions (future outcomes). The spectrum-gradient of future outcomes is essentially a unified medium, a universal currency of exchange.
The potential future outcomes, although they are merely potential, are actually weighed and evaluated against one another, in potentia, such that only the richest and most meaningful outcomes actualize into being.
The system of being is like a processor that continually actuates only the best possible potentialities.
How can this be so? Because all potential outcomes are weighed against a universal standard. This is the high possible intelligence in existence.
The existence of this highest possible intelligence is proven by the actuation of future outcomes which coordinate all localized spaces.
In other words, in the past, outcomes emerged which coordinated all of space- “the market,” Christianity, the scientific method. These are comprehensive narratives that coordinate space in a self-distributed manner.
The non-local future outcomes, are a market-like aggregator of information.
All path selections in space are weighed against the total system of choices. And each choice is a compression of the total system of choices which affects the that overall distribution of choices. The overall distribution of choices is a reflection of the highest possible intelligence.
In other words, truth talks, fakery walks. Only the most pure truths will prevail in the long run to coordinate all of space.
What is the underlying motivation for path selection? Why do we evaluate space in certain ways? What is the fundamental reason we choose one path over another?
In efficient markets, we choose one path over another because of monetary incentives. Economics is based on the idea that people are rational actors. They make choices based on how much they profit monetarily.
This is not wrong, it is again a particular case of a more general phenomenon. Monetary incentives are a particular example of more general conscience incentives.
Incentives are typically viewed as tradeoffs, or win-lose, asymmetric exchange. Monetary incentives means to materially profit at the expense of someone else, or to choose one thing to the exclusion of another.
Example: “He has a monetary incentive to take a higher paying job as an engineer, rather than a spiritually fulfilling job working with the community.”
But the prototype of monetary exchange is true value exchange, when both parties gain market leverage as a result of the transaction. The reason that people actually engage in monetary transactions, going back to the origin of money, is for mutual benefit and convenience.
Adam Smith describes this as, “Give me that which I want, and you shall have this which you want…”
True value exchange is non-zero-sum, symmetric, win-win exchange. It is exchange in which all parties are mutually enriched.
True value exchange is actually the more fundamental motivation for the motion of beings through space, than monetary incentives. True value exchange works by conscience incentives.
Conscience incentives are what fundamentally cause and coordinate the motion of beings through space.
Conscience always tends towards the state of symmetry between internal thought and external space.
It is becoming more clear in the current economic paradigm that people are willing to take a lower paying job if it is more spiritually fulfilling.
It is becoming harder and harder to financially value the newer technological software platforms using the old paradigm financial models of valuation.
It is becoming harder to stimulate economic growth through inflating the value of money with central banks.
Conscience incentives are the sense that there is natural right, an objective good. Conscience is the intrinsic drive towards the natural symmetry of existence between internal thought and external reality.
Conscience is the natural law of spatial motion. It is the cause of spatial motion.
Local circumstances are always evaluated and understood in terms of non-local circumstances. There are right and wrong choices. Right choices lead toward mutual flourishing, wrong choices lead toward collective decay.
All choices are mutually interdependent, all interests and outcomes are convergent.
The natural right is what has always organized macro-scale communities over the long term.
The United States is organized around the natural right of the Enlightenment.
The wider Western civilization and Russian-Slavic civilization are organized around the life of Jesus Christ. The life of Jesus Christ is the literal origin of time.
The Middle Eastern civilization is organized around the Koran.
Eastern civilization is organized around Confucian propriety, Taoist symmetry, and Buddhist release.
Civilization is fundamentally organized, coordinated, and caused by the conscience, by the sense that there is objective, natural right. This is the state of total mutual harmony of motion of beings through space, organized in universal, geometric relations of articulation and movement.
The sense of the natural right originates in a higher intelligence, an Infinite Intelligence, that is compressed first into the distribution of possible choices of all actors in space, and secondarily into localized conditions of the subjective experience of space.
This Infinite Intelligence functionally coordinates all spatial motion of beings, in a state of total natural harmony.
